Inspired by the city’s musical heritage and with entertainment at its core, Soho House Nashville hosts three indoor and outdoor performance spaces, pool, health club and screening room. Soho House Nashville is a couple of miles outside of the city centre, in the about-to-arrive Wedgewood-Houston neighbourhood, once home to several factories, many of which are now studios and other slightly more artistic spaces. In downtown Nashville, your sights should be set on Broadway, which is precisely where to locate a honky-tonk and pretend you’re Johnny Cash. Many country stars have their own bars in this part of town, including Miranda Lambert and Kid Rock.

There is also The Alley, which offers lighter café fare, including coffee and cocktails. Of course, you can follow Soho House on Instagram and see what they are posting for an insider’s look. Transparently, I started this tour with curiosity and no desire to join.
Where did Soho House start, and where are other locations?
The neighbourhood’s former factories are now studios, offices and, obviously, craft distilleries. This building was once a hub of sock production (there are net curtains with two black stripes paying homage to a classic chunky sports pair). The club has several stages on which the gifted regularly perform, various terraces and a secret garden that’s no stranger to surprise sets, but downtown Nashville’s honky-tonks and hedonism are hard to beat.

The Sock Room, named to pay homage to the once-thriving Hosiery Factory, is the heart of entertainment at Soho House Nashville and will host music, live entertainment, members’ events, and performances. Design elements include bespoke bar lamps that reflect the industrial machinery of the sock machine, once used in the factory, against softer materials of rich velvet and textured linen sheers to create a cosy atmosphere.

Bedrooms can be booked by Soho House members and Soho Friends; a new membership type that gives access to Soho House bedrooms, Studios and events, as well as benefits at the spas, restaurants and cinemas. Soho Friends members do not have access to the Houses unless they are staying in bedroom. Industrial metal shelving helps to create more intimate areas within the main Club room, including a library with fireplace, separated from a games area and the main Club Cecconi’s restaurant space. Don’t snap a pic of your food or a selfie in the mirror in the temptingly gorgeous locker room.
